Our Team
Kim Tran
Kim has been involved in the industry since 2008, when she graduated from marvel college. After spending time working in salons, Kim rose to an ownership position and has been owning Studio Mi ever since.
Specializing in colour and colour creation, Kim is always challenging herself in her career. Which has brought her around North America for specialized training. Including formal education in NYC, Vancity and LA. During the time Kim completed her red seal, giving her an opportunity to work across Canada. She is continuing to pursue education to expand her capabilities.
Most recently has been combining her artistic abilities to photography. To produce vibrant creations with an end goal of publication that can showcase her artist’s talents and inspire others to do the same.

Jae Nguyen
Jae is a serial entrepreneur born into the beauty industry with a hairstylist mother. She’s been immersed in beauty her entire life, starting her aesthetics journey at 14, working alongside master technicians. Jae is certified in PMU and teeth whitening, and over the past 15+ years, she has continually refined her craft. Jae specializes in glamorous nails, focusing on nail art, technology,
and innovation. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures each set is expertly applied and tailored to complement each client’s style and nail goals.
As the founder of NAILED Beauty Bar in Sherwood Park, operating since 2015, Jae’s top priority is delivering an exceptional customer experience. Despite being a busy mom of three, NAILED remains her first love and creative passion!

Sara Luck
Specializing in lived in blondes, balayages and mens cuts, Sara has been a Studio Mi team member for over a year! Sara discovered her passion as a Colourist and stylist early. She pursued her Diploma in hairstyling from MC college when she was just 18 and started in the industry right away!
Since then, she has dedicated her focus to to learning and gaining experience for her wonderful clients. Among her specialities are colour corrections, blondes, she also has had in salon training for hair extensions including beaded wefts and tape ins.
Sara is known for her dedication to all her clients and working towards their hair goals. After four years in the industry she has built a roster of long term clients and looks forward to meeting new clients! She has demonstrated a natural ability and talent to meet your needs and hair goals

Heather Luxon
Heather has been in the hair and beauty industry since 2004. She continued her apprenticeship back home in England. After she returned she continued working under the best salons in Edmonton, Calgary and then Toronto. Always making sure to work with teams that favoured further education, self expression and team work.
Heather constantly travelled and trained at Vidal Sassoon in London, took Bumble and Bumble styling courses, Schwarzkopf & Redken colour trained and got certified in Bellami and Lux hair extensions.
Heather also succeeded in building a cosmetic company and worked in management with various fashion brands. Having this diverse background, she has found her true passion lays in building rapport with her clients that enable her to provide bespoke services.

Fernanda Inostroza
Fernanda is a skilled hairdresser with a decade of experience, originally from Chile and now based in Edmonton. Specializing in color transformations, precision cuts, hair extensions, and braiding for all hair textures, she also excels as a makeup artist with experience in the film and entertainment industry, as well as luxury and Indian weddings. Having grown up in Montreal, a city known for its fashion, she combines creativity and technical skill to ensure every client looks stunning and feels fabulous for any occasion.
